My recent research interests lie in the intersections between food/geography and multimedia computing for new fields: food computing and geo-multimedia computing.
Research in this area focuses on the development of computational approaches for acquiring
and analyzing heterogenous food data from disparate sources to solve the challenges related
to different food-related tasks, from perception, recognition, retrieval, recommendation to prediction and monitoring: Food Computing Research Group
Research in this area focuses on the development of computational approaches to solve
the challenges related to its related tasks, such as urban scene perception, instance-level location
retrieval and recognition, location recommendation, location summary, mining and visualization to
support various location-relevant applications and service.
