Prof. Hu Han received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Institute of Computing Technology (ICT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He then worked as a Research Associate at the PRIP Laboratory of Michigan State University, and a Visiting Researcher at Google from 2011-2015. He joined the Faculty of ICT, CAS in 2015, and is now a Full Professor. His research interests include computer vision, pattern recognition, biometrics, and medical image analysis. He has published more than 80 refereed journals and conference papers with more than 5700 Google Scholar citations, and an H-index of 38 (2023.2). He was a recipient of the IEEE Signal Processing Society Best Paper Award (2020), ICCV2021 Human-Centric Trustworthy Computer Vision Best Paper Award, IEEE FG2019 Best Poster Presentation Award, and CCBR2016/2018 Best Student/Poster Award. He is/was an Associate Editor of IEEE Trans. BIOM, Pattern Recognition, a Guest Editor of EURASIP, an Area Chair of FG2023/ECCV2022/ICPR2020, a Senior PC of IJCAI 2021, and a Session Chair of ISBI2022. He has co-organized more than 10 special sessions and workshops in ICCV/CVPR/FG/PRCV, etc.
