Associate Professor

Research area: Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Face Recognition

Jie Zhang received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Institute of Computing Technology (ICT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing, China, in 2017. Now he is an associate professor at Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests cover computer vision, pattern recognition, machine learning, particularly include deep learning and its application in face recognition. He has published more than 10 papers in refereed journals and proceedings in the areas of computer vision and pattern recognition, such as CVPR, ICCV and ECCV. He has also won several awards, namely, Championship Award in ACM MM Kinship Recognition Challenge 2017, Runner-up Award in IEEE CVPR Landmark Detection Challenge 2017, Runner-upAwardin ICCV Apparent Age Estimation Challenge 2015, etc.
