On Jan.1st 2021, CCF has announced the 2020 awardee for "CCF Outstanding Doctorial Dissertation Award". It is our great honor to know that Dr. Haomiao Liu stands out as a final winner. Congratulations to Dr. Liu and his supervisor Prof. Xilin Chen!
The CCF Outstanding Doctorial Dissertation Award was established in 2006, with a goal to encourage top Ph.D. students in our country who have contributed either to the theoretical/practrical breakthroughs in computer science, or to great innovations of key technologies. In 2020, the CCF Award Committee received 41 doctoral dissertation candidates from 21 universities and research institutions. After a fierce competition, only 10 PhDs finally won the 2020 CCF Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award based on their outstanding performance in innovation and academic influence.
Haomiao Liu received the Ph.D degree in computer science from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Xilin Chen in 2019. His research interests include image retrievl and object classification. His work has been published in top-tier journals and conferences such as TPAMI, IJCV, CVPR. His PhD dissertation "Visual Representation Learning for Object Semantics Understanding".
